Someone in the area just bought it, because it had temp tags. I would've thought it was a Passat, had it not been for the Phaeton badge on the rear. It was dark blue, and it wasn't a bad looking car, just relatively hard to distinguish from other VWs of the time.

It was just a big Jetta.

The whole point of the Phaeton was that it should look like a passat, so if it fooled an Opponaut I'd say it works :)

I kind of liked how they were so similar to their brethren. Makes it even more of a sleeper. Having been physically in one (Thanks Jagvar!!) I can tell you that it is no Passat. I love them. I want one. I need a better job.

Understandable. I just drove past it, but I would like a chance to take a look inside, and snap some photos. Maybe I can do that next week.

They're fantastic. Definitely see if you can get close to one!
